How It Started

Premier Referee Association (PRA) was founded by Andres Rondon and Kousha Mckeenejad, two lifelong soccer enthusiasts who met over a decade ago while playing high-level club soccer and refereeing youth competitions. Bonded by their shared love for the game — both on the field and as officials — they stayed connected through their mutual commitment to the sport and its growth.

Why PRA?

As they progressed through the officiating ranks, one issue became impossible to ignore: a lack of consistency, passion, and true game-awareness among many referees. Time and again, they saw officials struggle to keep pace with the speed and intensity of competitive matches, often missing the nuance that makes high-level soccer flow.

The problem wasn’t just fitness or knowledge of the rules — it was a deeper issue: referees often lacked the feel for the game, the presence, and the professionalism required to manage elite competition. That realization sparked the idea for PRA.

Our Philosophy

At PRA, we believe that elite refereeing makes elite soccer possible. Our mission is to provide leagues with elite-level officials who are more than just rule enforcers — they’re true students of the game. Our referees are highly trained, physically fit, and capable of keeping up with the fastest, most competitive matches.

Many of our officials are former or current players who bring a deep understanding of positioning, game flow, and player psychology — the elements that separate a good referee from a great one. When you hire PRA, you’re investing in fair, consistent, high-quality officiating that lets players and coaches focus on what matters: the game.
